Ho Chi Minh Teaching Korean

Your journey begins with an orientation meeting on your first Monday, where you’ll meet the local team and get introduced to the program structure, lesson planning, class schedules, teaching materials, and center guidelines. This preparation helps you settle in smoothly and feel ready for your teaching experience. As a teaching assistant, your main role will be supporting and teaching two classes per day, with each session lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Classes are supervised by local teachers, but you may also have opportunities to lead activities and engage students more directly under their guidance. At the start of each lesson, the instructor will introduce the topic before dividing students into smaller mentorship groups to encourage interactive learning and conversation practice. You’ll work closely with local teachers and fellow participants to prepare activities, follow the provided teaching materials, and create a supportive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable practicing their Korean skills. Beyond the classroom, you’ll have free evenings and weekends to explore Vietnam, connect with fellow volunteers, and enjoy local life. Vietnamese students are incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about language learning, making this program a fun, social, and deeply rewarding cultural exchange experience.
