About This Experience
Teaching Hospital Kandy is one of Sri Lanka’s most important medical institutions, with a long history dating back to the early 1800s after the fall of the Kandyan Kingdom. What first began as a military hospital later expanded to support local communities through major public health crises including cholera, malaria, and smallpox. Today, the hospital has grown into a leading healthcare center offering a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.
