Nestled beneath the breathtaking Himalayan peaks, the Pokhara Valley is a place where peaceful lakes, lush green hills, and vibrant local life come together in the best way possible. Step into a meaningful teaching journey where you’ll connect with local children, support fun extracurricular activities, and inspire young minds through creative, engaging lessons that leave a real impact.
In many communities across Nepal, access to quality education is still limited, and strong English skills can open the door to future opportunities. Through the Educating the Children (ETC) program, you’ll help motivate and empower students with practical knowledge, confidence, and life skills that go beyond the classroom. You’ll support local teachers in small community schools around Pokhara, working with children aged 5–16 to improve their English and expand their worldviews. Lessons can include conversational English, mathematics, science, geography, history, computers, arts & crafts, music, personal development, environmental awareness, health & safety, and more. Since higher education in Nepal is taught in English, helping students build language confidence can truly shape their future. By bringing positive energy, creativity, and interactive teaching styles into the classroom, you’ll encourage students to become more independent and motivated learners. Along the way, you’ll also gain hands-on experience by working closely with local teachers and learning more about Nepal’s education system while actively supporting classroom engagement in a meaningful way.
