Step into a purpose-driven experience where compassion meets action. In South Korea, you’ll support an animal rescue and rehabilitation center that gives a second chance to animals like dogs and pigs who deserve so much more. These animals were rescued from illegal dog farms—places where they were once treated as products, not lives. Thanks to the determination of activists and a non-profit organization, those farms have been transformed into safe shelters. Now, they are spaces of care, healing, and hope—and you get to be part of that journey.
Set on a peaceful mountainside, this shelter is home to around 100 rescued dogs waiting for their forever homes. Just a short subway ride from your accommodation, it runs on the dedication of a small team, animal welfare groups, and community support. While progress has been made, there’s still work to be done to improve the animals’ daily lives. During your week here, you’ll support the team in caring for the dogs—helping with their recovery, rebuilding trust, and preparing them for adoption. By following safety guidelines and approaching each animal with patience, you’ll help create a safe and nurturing space. This isn’t just volunteering—it’s about making a real impact while connecting with a community that truly cares about animal welfare.
