Step into a different rhythm of life with the Seoul Buddhism Program—where mindfulness meets culture. Through meditation, yoga, and meaningful cultural activities, you’ll experience Korea beyond the surface. Open to all levels, your days begin with guided meditation, followed by shared tasks, language learning, and cultural insights. Afternoons are yours to explore Seoul, with optional experiences like tea ceremonies adding an extra layer of depth. This is your chance to connect with monastics, experience temple living, and tap into the spiritual side of Korea.
This 5-day temple stay is your chance to live like a Korean Buddhist monk—right in the heart of Seoul. Your days begin before sunrise with prostrations and silent meditation, followed by a traditional monastic meal known as baru gongyang. Along the way, you’ll learn the meaning behind each ritual and how to practice them mindfully. Daily chores like sweeping and cleaning become a form of moving meditation—helping you stay present in every moment. Afternoons open up to deeper cultural experiences, from tea ceremony etiquette to silent walks and visits to some of Korea’s most iconic temples. Depending on the day, you may also explore practices like tai chi, sound meditation, or breathing exercises. Whether you’re looking to reset your mind, explore a new culture, or simply slow down, this program invites you to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with yourself.
