You’ll be stepping into the classroom to teach children a variety of subjects in English—sharing knowledge, building confidence, and creating meaningful connections. Your week blends preparation and action. Together with local school staff, you’ll co-create lesson plans based on the school’s syllabus, then bring those lessons to life in class. You may teach independently or team up with other participants, making the experience both collaborative and rewarding. About This Experience
With Bali’s fast-growing tourism scene, English has become a powerful tool—and local students are eager to learn it beyond the classroom. In Bali, many children study English at school, but rarely get the chance to practice real conversation with fluent speakers. That’s where you come in. Balinese kids are curious, energetic, and genuinely excited to learn—making every class feel alive. Your days will balance creativity and impact: spend 1–2 hours each morning planning your lessons, then step into the classroom in the afternoon for around 3 hours of teaching at a local elementary or high school. You’ll have the freedom to shape your sessions, using a provided syllabus and past lesson ideas as your guide. This isn’t about traditional teaching—it’s about making learning fun. Think games, music, storytelling, art, and movement. If you’re new, teaming up with other participants is encouraged. Teaching together not only builds confidence but also helps you manage the high-energy classroom vibe that comes with excited students.
